For Denise and Alessandro’s wedding, we planned a weekend wedding at Borgo Antico Casalbosco in the Tuscan countryside. The perfect opportunity to give the couple quality time with loved ones from various parts of Italy and different European countries.

Weekend wedding at Borgo Antico Casalbosco

The couple, in love from the first sight of Casalbosco, an intimate location in the hills of Pistoia, booked the property exclusively for an entire weekend, welcoming friends and family there.

Easily accessible from the airports of Florence and Pisa (it was the bride and groom’s prerogative to ensure sustainable logistics for their guests), Borgo Casalbosco won over just about everyone with its enchanting view of the vineyards. Icing on the cake: the organization of an event over several days with total immersion in nature and typical food and good Tuscan wine.

Wedding pizza party: the first date of the weekend

The weekend of festivities began Friday afternoon with an original poolside pizza party. Young and old enjoyed freshly baked pizza, prepared before their eyes by the skilled hands of the pizza chef. The evening ended in merriment and some excitement in preparation for the wedding the next day.

On Saturday morning Denise and Alessandro got married in the nearby Church of S. Giovanni di Valdibure, with a religious ceremony. Friends and family shared the couple’s love and joy in this Pieve with typical Tuscan architecture.

Wedding reception in Casalbosco

After the ceremony, newlyweds and guests headed back to Casalbosco, where a dreamy setting awaited them: tables laden with traditional Tuscan dishes, finger foods and all sorts of appetizers, paired with the best wines of the area.

After the aperitif in the village, guests reached the pool area for the wedding reception under the stars.
The evening continued to the rhythm of music with the DJ set up in the lemon grove, where newlyweds and guests danced late into the night.

Brunch in the village before saying goodbye

After spending the second night in the farmhouse suites and rooms, on Sunday morning the newlyweds greeted their guests with a brunch. For the occasion, the menu mixed traditional Tuscan flavors with a typical English breakfast, a combination of flavors that convinced just about everyone!
