Planning the wedding of Alice and Matteo put us in front of a challenge: organizing an event surrounded by the nature of the Tuscan hills, but that had as its common thread the sea and, specifically, the Elba Island sea that with its colors and scents has kidnapped the hearts of our spouses.

Wedding in Florence dreaming of the Elba Island

For this wedding, we were looking for a venue that could accommodate many guests, both outside and inside. For this reason, we immediately thought about Villa il Cerretino. This venue, in addition to offering ample space, also has a breathtaking view of Florence.

The villa is immersed in the flourishing Tuscan nature. Thanks to the restoration that has privileged the stately aspect of the dwelling, it has given us the right atmosphere to dedicate ourselves to the theme of marriage: the Elba sea.

Wedding design with a marine theme

To plan the wedding with a maritime theme, we used raw fabrics and floral arrangements that recalled the typical vegetation of the Tuscan island. The same set up was also used in the wonderful church of San Bartolomeo in Pistoia. The naves were decorated with flowers and bushes reminiscent of those present in the natural dunes of the beaches of Elba sea.

After the impressive and exciting ceremony, the event moved into the magical atmosphere of Villa il Cerretino.

Aperitif in the garden and pizza show cooking

Guests were able to enjoy a rich and sophisticated wedding aperitif set up in the entrance garden of the villa. Since the great passion of the groom is pizza, we also planned a corner for the show cooking of this dish symbol of conviviality. The choice surprised and amused everyone!

Another very original moment was the launch of the bouquet, which took place during the aperitif when the bride and her friends enjoied that moment.

For the placè dinner we set up the reception in the beautiful scenic park of Villa Il Cerretino. The two large imperial tables, reserved for friends, and the round tables for relatives were decorated with dark copper lamps and white candles of various sizes.

The result was a warm and elegant setting, really impressive. The choice of flowers as centerpieces and decorations fell on a typology that recalled the typical colors of the island of Elba.

Cake cutting and party with music

The long-awaited moment of the cake cut took place in front of the charming chapel of Villa il Cerretino, whose architectural features have been enhanced by the wise arrangement of amber spotlights. The lighting, as we love to repeat, is undoubtedly one of the fundamental aspects to ensure the right atmosphere to an event, and consequently its success.

The evening ended with music, joy and a touch of sweetness. The bride and groom had chosen as favors small jars of homemade jams. Organizing Alice and Matteo wedding was really nice and gave us the opportunity to experiment with new and original ideas.
