Caterina & Francesco

A wonderful couple, a magical city and a dream wedding proposal. Thus began the journey towards the fabulous and super-chic wedding day of Caterina and Francesco. Since our first meeting with this young couple, the fundamental requirement on which to shape every detail of the wedding was clear: to recreate the dreamlike atmosphere and the romanticism of Paris. A task that is certainly not easy but very exciting for us at WeWeddings. Final results? A magnificent wedding day, where romance and elegance were the undisputed protagonists.

Wedding ceremony in Chianti

The religious ceremony took place in the Basilica of Santa Croce, in the main square of Greve in Chianti, a small town in the heart of Tuscany. The church had been decorated with beautiful flower arrangements. The central nave, very wide and long, was decorated with micro-bouquets of gypsophila and English roses, while the altar and the seats of the couple were decorated with structures of white lisiantus with pink shades and precious fabrics.

The external colonnade of the basilica allowed us to enhance the entrance with olive trees and decorations of ribbons and tulle. The whole ceremony was accompanied by a duo of strings, organ and the beautiful voice of an opera singer, who managed to make the celebration truly engaging. At the end of the ceremony and after the traditional throwing of rice, the guests moved to the wedding reception site, not far away.

Reception in Villa Le Corti

The venue chosen by the couple is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and charming of Tuscany. We are talking about Villa Le Corti, located between Florence and Siena, a charming place where the typical nature of the Tuscan hills mixes with the secular history of the princes Corsini, owner of the villa.

A unique feature that mark this venue is the presence of a wide courtyard with an arched loggia. From there you can access to marvellous Renaissance halls: the Sala delle Donne, the Sala Clemente XII, the Sala dei Titoli and the Salone a Tramontana. For the wedding of Caterina & Francesco the entire courtyard was covered with grass so that we could decorate the space with a warm and unusual setting. We left on the grass white and ivory pillows and lanterns.

A Parisian style wedding

The tables for dinner, arranged on three sides under the loggia, were embellished with a mise en place of finely worked crystals, with a floral arrangement characterized by English roses, with soft and delicate shades. At each centerpiece were paired glass jars to create a fascinating and glamorous environment. Guests dined in a surreal atmosphere with soft candlelit light as in the typical French bistros.

To make the Tableau Marriage we used gilded frames in which were inserted the cards with the names of the tables and guests. The final result was coordinated with the wedding stationery chosen for the event, characterized by pink nuances and with images of the most significant places in Paris. All surrounded by precious books, chandeliers, myriads of roses, and an antique mirror as a backdrop, to bring to life the classic atmosphere of a 1900 Paris, the city of entertainment, lights, culture and fashion.

Aperitif with entertainment

Taking advantage of the wonderful outdoor space of the villa, an Italian garden allowed us to organize a rich and well-organized open-air aperitif. In fact there were many corners dedicated to the buffet, arranged both along the facade of the villa and on the lawn, with chairs and wicker tables for each guest, with the addition of finger food combinations and “alcoholic shots”.

To entertain guests before dinner served inside the court, in addition to live music, a French-style photo-boot corner was set up, with a sumptuous lounge chair to sit on and have fun taking pictures. There was also a very good caricaturist artist delighted in making portraits of the guests, as in the best tradition of street artists who crowd the most beautiful streets of Paris.

The wedding cake

After dinner, the garden of the villa is once again the protagonist with the moment of the cake cut. The wedding cake served on a large glass riser and made up of many single-servings of millefeuille, was embellished at the base with tulle and surrounded by candles and light chains. A truly romantic and super chic picture, which reached its peak with the fireworks show started after the brindisi toast. A moment, unique, magical and indelible.

The party continued inside the various rooms of the villa: one used as coffee and distillates corner, one set up to host the confetti table and mignon pastry and one dedicated to dancing to go wild with the DJ set, together with the tables set up for the cocktail and open bar. Finally, the most evocative, housed in its center the splendid table of wedding favors, created with a precise reference to the meaning of eternal love, like that which unites Caterina and Francesco.
