Wedding at Relais Santa Croce Hotel in Florence

For this couple’s wedding, which took place in December, we had chosen a venue that combined two central elements for the newlyweeds. On the one hand, the typical style of the historical Florentine palace. On the other hand, the opportunity to host guests overnight after the reception.

Based in Santa Croce, one of the most beautiful and historic district of Florence, the Relais is a noble 18th-century residence that has welcomed the bride and groom in its spacious and sumptuous suite. The first to arrive at the hotel was Sara, with her entourage of coiffeurs and make-up artists.

Winter wedding decorations

On the occasion of this winter wedding, we have selected elegant and Christmas-inspired settings, combined with a truly refined mise en place.
The aperitif was served in the Relais’ Cocktail Bar room, where guests were welcomed with sparkling wines and delicious finger food.

The wedding reception moved to the Frescoed Music Room, where the majestic fireplace was the absolute protagonist, giving the atmosphere the elegance and aristocratic notes.
A pianist and an opera singer accompanied the guests during the dinner, marking the most beautiful moments of the evening, such as the toast and the cake cutting.

Dinner between Guelfi e Ghibellini

The executive chef of the Guelfi e Ghibellini restaurant has personally curated the meat and fish menu. The culinary options included traditional Tuscan recipes reinterpreted in a modern key.

From starters to main courses, everything was served to meet the guests’ needs in a meticulous manner and with the wise pairing of local wines.
The dinner ended with small pastries and confetti (typical Italian wedding sweets) served as a buffet. Meanwhile, the master pastry chef Paolo Sacchetti, from Pasticceria Nuovo Mondo, created the wedding cake on sight, leaving everyone enchanted.
