Wedding setup

When we talk about wedding setup, we mean everything that makes the rooms in which the special moments of that day will take place, suitable for the situation: flowers, lights, equipment and other tools are the objects used to furnish the environments of the wedding.

The environments considered for the setup are basically two: the church or a room used for the civil marriage, and the location where the reception takes place after the ceremony.

Decoration for the church

The church presents some focal points that usually are always decorated or by request of the celebrating priest, or by tradition: the altars, the kneeler, the crucifix.

The floral arrangement of the wedding room will be slightly freer in a civil wedding, where however we used to decor the chairs of the couple and the ceremonial table where the officiant will stay to celebrate the wedding

Location decor

It is important not to confuse the floral arrangement with the bride’s flowers and the ones of the bridesmaids. In fact, they are two types of different floral adornments that must be distinguished from one another. To enrich the environment, usually, there is also a central path to accompany the arrival of the groom and the bride with their parents and their exit as newlyweds at the end of the ceremony.

Furthermore, another focal point is the lights or the candles that, in the church, become not only a scenographic element, but a symbol of light emanating from the new family that is forming.

Location for the reception

The focal points to set up in the location of the wedding reception are well recognizable:

  • the centerpiece: since the spouses and guests will spend most of their time at the table, this will have to be set up with special centerpieces composed of flowers, small objects or candles.
  • the tableu de mariage: the table map with the names of the guests that must be found at the entrance to the reception hall. It can easily be customized according to a theme chosen by the spouses.
  • the confetti corner: usually located in an area close to the exit from the reception room, where the guests can easily pass before the end of the day.
  • guest book: it allows guests to leave a memory, a thought or a wish to the spouses.
